The Circolo Nautico Porto Santa Margherita (CNSM) and the Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) are pleased to announce that registration for entry is now open for the 2024 ORC Double Handed European Championship held in Caorle, Italy over 30 April – 5 May 2024.

On December 10-11, approximately twenty members of the ORC staff are convening in Trieste, Italy, for one of their annual gatherings. The ORC Staff is the driving force behind the world's most extensive measurement-based handicapping system.

Organizers at the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club (HORC) are pleased to announce the 2024 edition of the AEGEAN 600 is open for entry. The event is being held from 5-13 July 2024 and is co-organized by the host venue at Olympic Marine.

A significant innovation from the ORC International Technical Committee is the development of weather routing scoring, where a boat’s time allowance against her competitors will be calculated using a predicted elapsed time based on weather routing each boat around the course. The use of weather-routing scoring gives the competitors the full benefit of the ORC system to give scoring that reflects the boat and the race conditions.

Thirty Racer and CruiserRacer designs from 14 US states enjoyed ideal reaching conditions for the 60-mile 67th annual edition of the Wirth Munroe Race from Miami to Palm Beach on December 1st. This race is the second in the SORC’s Islands in the Stream series, a coastal classic dating back to 1957, and this year featured perfect southeast breezes of 12-15 knots and warm South Florida temperatures.

During his extensive career of scientific research at Delft University, he made ground-breaking contributions to hydrodynamics and boat and ship design, and was a valued member of the ORC’s International Technical Committee (ITC).

The Superyacht Cup Palma invites entries over 24m in length and to ensure fair racing will use ORCsy rating rules and scoring, including the new Weather Routing Scoring method pioneered by ORC. For the first time the J Class entries will also use ORCsy rules and scoring.

Registration for the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta 2024 is officially open as of today. The event, supported by Giorgio Armani, one of the most iconic Italian brands in the world, will take place from 4th to 8th June and is open to Superyachts with a minimum length of 90 feet. Once again for the 2024 edition, the Southern Wind RendezVous and Trophy will be held as part of the event.

The 2024 ORC Mediterranean Championship is open for entries, and organizers at the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia (CRVI) are pleased to offer a new format of competitive inshore racing over 9-11 May 2024, followed on 17-18 May 2024 with offshore racing in the 69th edition of the 150-mile Regata dei Tre Golfi (3G).

Two Double-handed entries have won the top two podium finishes overall in the ORC division of the 44th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race.
